On Friday, November 8, 2013, a meeting of directors of the members of \u201cPRO EUROPE\u201d, the umbrella organization of European recycling and packaging and packaging waste management systems, which are recognizable by the use of the trademark Green Dot, was held in Cologne.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ekopak, as the authorized system operator, applied for a license for the right to use the Green Dot, and at the meeting of the directors of \u201cPRO EUROPE\u201d it was concluded that it met the high requirements and the members present unanimously confirmed Ekopak’s admission to membership. In this way, Bosnia and Herzegovina became the 32nd member country of \u201cPRO EUROPE\u201d, which brought our country closer to the rest of Europe in this segment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The official signing of the contract between “PRO EUROPE” and Ekopak will soon take place in Sarajevo.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Green Dot systems have become internationally recognized and recognizable models that successfully implement the \u201cprinciple of producer responsibility\u201d on behalf of packaging companies. When you see the Green Dot sign on a product, it means that a fee has been paid for that packaging to an authorized system operator, which has been established according to the principles defined by the EU Directive 94\/62 on packaging and packaging waste, and national legislation in this area. This information is certainly important for consumers who buy a product in packaging, because it speaks about the manufacturer, its fulfillment of legal obligations and social responsibility.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Green Dot symbol is an internationally recognized and protected symbol. Ekopak, through its membership in \u201cPRO EUROPE\u201d, will enable all its clients to use the Green Dot symbol on their products. At the same time, Ekopak would like to take this opportunity to invite all manufacturers, importers, distributors and traders who have the Green Dot symbol on their products and have not yet entered the Ekopak system to do so, as Ekopak is now authorized to protect this symbol on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
