Today in Bihać, in the premises of the PUK Komrad, a contract was signed on the establishment of 31 eco-islands in this municipality. The contract was signed by the director of PUK Komrad Mr. Hadis Jusić and the director of Ekopak Amela Hrbat.

PUC Komrad from Bihać and Ekopak signed the first cooperation agreement in the middle of last year and co-financed the purchase of two vehicles for collecting packaging waste.

PUC Komrad, with the support of the Ministry of Construction, Spatial Planning and Environmental Protection of the Canton of Unicaja, has purchased blue containers for the selective disposal of packaging paper. In order for these containers to be put into operation and to ensure the collection of other types of packaging waste (plastic, glass, multilayer materials, metal), Ekopak has committed to purchasing 64 containers (36 green and 28 yellow), which will enable the establishment of 31 eco-islands with three containers each.

Our responsibility towards the environment is also expressed through the care we take with the packaging of the products we buy every day. That is why it is important to check before purchasing whether the product is marked with the  Green Dot symbol.
