The municipality of Breza is the eighth municipality in which Ekopak is establishing a system of separate collection and recycling of packaging waste, after Bihać, Gračanica, Orašje, Donji Vakuf, Kladanj, Ključ and Olovo. 

The cooperation agreement was signed by the Assistant Head of the Economic Department of the Municipality of Breza, Salih Hasanspahić, the Director of the Public Enterprise Komunalno from Breza, Esmir Bulbulušić, and the Director of Ekopak, Amela Hrbat.

Ekopak has committed to purchasing 15 yellow bells to establish 15 eco-islands in the Municipality of Breza and will also co-finance the landscaping of the areas where the eco-islands will be placed. An important segment of Ekopak’s activities are educational activities aimed at increasing citizens’ awareness of the importance of separate collection and recycling of packaging waste.
