In order to educate our fellow citizens, Ekopak launched a promotional campaign for the internationally protected Green Dot logo at the beginning of December last year, and the promotions, which were organized in cooperation with partners, socially responsible companies Fis, R-Time, BBI Center, Mepas Mall and Ovnak, were held in shopping malls throughout BiH.
Thus, the promotion in Tuzla, at the CM facility Slatina, which was held on Saturday, January 26, 2019, rounded off this campaign, the aim of which was to highlight the importance of purchasing products that have the Green Dot mark on their packaging. During the campaign, customers expressed interest in purchasing these products, thereby directly supporting socially responsible companies involved in the packaging waste recycling and environmental protection system.
Every customer who purchased a product at the facility and had the Green Dot sign on it received a symbolic gift from Ekopak.
On this occasion, consumers were able to learn a lot of important information about the Green Dot, such as the fact that the Green Dot is today the most widespread and most used internationally protected symbol in the world, protected in more than 170 countries, and that more than 170,000 companies use this symbol on the packaging of their products. Then there is the fact that over 460 billion units of packaging are marked with this symbol annually, and that around 300 million citizens have access to a system of separate disposal of packaging waste, which is financed by PRO EUROPE members, i.e. companies such as Ekopak.
It should be noted that by becoming a member of PRO EUROPE and registering a license as the exclusive provider of the right to use the Green Dot in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ekopak, in addition to this privilege, also received the obligation to legally regulate the use of the Green Dot on our market.
