During the month of June, Ekopak organized the promotion of the Green Dot in Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Tuzla, Brčko and Mostar, which were implemented in Mercator shopping malls. On this occasion, Ekopak educated the public about the importance and meaning of this symbol, which communicates the social responsibility of companies that use it in the segment of packaging waste recycling and environmental protection in general.
During the promotion, customers were able to learn what the Green Dot is, what it represents, and why they should pay attention to whether the packaging of the products they buy has the Green Dot label. Valuable gifts were also given out to customers who purchased three or more products with the Green Dot label.
On this occasion, Ekopak would like to thank the brands, users of the Green Dot label, who supported this project: Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Schweppes, Ledo, Colgate, Palmolive, Nova Vita and Ajax.
As a reminder, the owner of the Green Dot symbol is the German company Duales System Deutschland AG. (DSD), which has entrusted the management and coordination of the use of this symbol outside the German market to the European umbrella organization PRO-EUROPE, headquartered in Brussels. PRO-EUROPE grants the rights to use the Green Dot symbol to its members worldwide, and since 2013, Ekopak has been a member of PRO EUROPE and the exclusive provider of rights to use the Green Dot symbol on the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
