Organized by Ekopak, the first authorized operator of the packaging and packaging waste management system in BiH, a media briefing was held today in Sarajevo, which also presented a competition for journalistic contributions to informing the public and promoting the importance of establishing the Green Dot system in BiH.
All interested journalists can participate in the competition by submitting original works on the topic “Establishment of the Green Dot System in BiH”, published in the period from December 20, 2014 to March 20, 2015.
The non-profit organization Ekopak, authorized by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism to be the first system operator, whose role is to establish a transparent, efficient, sustainable and long-term system for recycling and reuse of packaging waste, bases this journalism competition on the challenges of establishing the Green Dot system in BiH, all with the aim and desire to affirm journalistic reporting that deals with topics in this area.
The author of the best journalistic work will be awarded a study trip to a European member country of PRO EUROPE, in which a system of separate collection and recycling of packaging waste operates successfully.
The speakers of the meeting were: Mladen Rudež, Assistant Minister of the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Samra Jažić, Professional Associate for Sales and Communications of Ekopaka doo, Senad Memić, Director of PUK Komus from the municipality of Gračanica, which is already involved and successfully implements activities in the “Green Dots” system, and Halida Vuković, Director of NGO Fondeko.
